He received his bachelor's degree from Peking University in 1990, and his EMBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in 2004. He possesses over two decades of experience in entrepreneurship and management of IT industry, and has created several companies, which have been involved in successful M&A's.  He became a professional venture capitalist and established SC in 2007. 

He is the founding member of the CEIBS Education Development Foundation, the entrepreneurship mentor of Asia America Multi-technology Association(AAMA), the founding director of Peking University Entrepreneurs Club, the director of College of Engineering of Peking University, member of the board of directors of Hundun University, and the founding mentor of the Entrepreneurship Training Camp of Peking University.

Lately, he obtained his Doctorate Degree (D.Phil) from Centre of Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering supervised by Prof. Z.F. Cui (FMedSci, FREng, Member of CAE, DSc) at the University of Oxford. His research primarily focused on genetically modified cancer cells' biocompatibility with type-I collagen scaffold, a potential preliminary method for targeted therapy. 

He was selected as Chunhui-Talent Scheme Scholar in 2013 sponsored by Education Ministry and is an Executive Standing Committee member of CLSS-UK and a member of IET.
